There are so many resources available online to help entertain and educate young people at home. We've selected a few that we think are particularly helpful. If you have any others you'd reccomend then please get in touch and let us know!
Twinkl is a great vibrant website with lots of fun games and activities for young people to do. It caters for different age groups from 0-5, 5-7, 7-11, and11-18. So something for all ages based on the UK curriculum. You do need to sign up but this only takes a few minutes. It also has lots of interesting blogs which adults might find useful if they have to educate children at home. It is a great resource if you need a little break in between lessons or for a few minutes of fun education screen time in the evening or at weekends.
BBC Bite Size is another great educational website for young people. This website again follows the UK curriculum and has lots of educational and fun activities for all ages and abilities to interact with.
Orchard Toys make education toys and games. There website has lots of games and activities for young children. You can sign up and receive a daily worksheet.
Planet Science is a great website which has lots of fun science experiment ideas for children of all ages. There is also a section for parents and teachers with lots of useful links and tips. Remember to be safe and supervise children if you are doing active science experiments in your home.
Scouts again has some great resources. With lots of activates games and educational resources. One blog that caught our eye was titles 'What are some fun activities to do with Family and Friends on Zoom?'
