Fostering when receiving benefits
We need people from all walks of life to become everyday heroes!
When you’re a foster carer with Parallel Parents you can usually continue claiming benefits such as income support, housing benefit and working tax credits.
On top of any benefits you claim Parallel Parents pay all carers allowances starting at £350 per week per child you care for. These allowances increase as you gain experience and can increase if the child or young person has additional needs.
Our foster carers are given special help and guidance about managing their finances and claiming benefits whilst fostering as we want you to be as financially secure as possible.
If you would like advice about how you could foster whilst being on benefits then please get in touch with us.
We pride ourselves on the”outstanding” levels of support we offer to our foster carers and our focus on the best outcomes for all children and young people in our care.
We have over 20 years of experience and more than 200 foster carers looking after children and young people.
